Initial consult
I offer a complimentary 20-minute phone consultation where we can discuss what brings you to therapy, answer your questions, and explore how I can support you.

Individual Therapy
All services offered at Therapy Starts are virtual or over the phone.
We will begin with a 50-minute assessment to understand your needs, followed by creating a personalized treatment plan.
Follow up sessions are 50-minutes and can be scheduled weekly, bi-weekly, or as agreed upon during our assessment. I look forward to collaborating with you on this journey.
Group Therapy
Postpartum Adjustment group
A holding space created for moms with babies aged 0-12 months. Here, you can share your experiences, connect with others, learn coping techniques, and find the support you need during this transformative time. This virtual group has components of both support and therapy.
Duration: 8 weeks long, 1.5 hours per session.

Menopause Group
This virtual group is both an educational and a support group for those approaching menopause, or going through it. It is a holding space where you can share your experiences, learn cognitive and behavioural techniques to support you through the journey, and find community.
Duration: 6 weeks, 1.5 hours per session.

EXPERIENCE

I have worked in community mental health since 2011 with adult clients (18+) experiencing a wide range of concerns.
-
As a Registered Social Worker and psychotherapist in community mental health, I have had the privilege of supporting hundreds of clients in individual and group therapy.

Since 2020, I've had the privilege of supporting clients longer term in private practice, tailoring services to clients' needs.

My approach is integrative; I draw from evidence-based approaches and adapt interventions to my clients' needs.

My practice is grounded in a trauma-informed and an anti-oppressive framework.

I strive to create a safe, collaborative, compassionate and non-judgemental environment where clients share their vulnerabilities, connect past and present patterns and work on change.

EDUCATION AND TRAINING

I obtained my MSW and BSc from the University of Toronto.

​I've had specific training in the following modalities: CBT, mindfulness, compassion-focused, DBT, perinatal mental health, ACT, Motivational Interviewing and trauma therapy.

I participate in yearly training to keep up to date and learn new approaches/ways to help my clients.​
​

I participate in trauma-informed clinical supervision regularly. Supervision helps to ensure ethical practice and enhance skills.
